Change the World for the Better this Christmas

Give gifts that bring the love of Christ to a hurting world

This year, the Nevada Christian Home School Coyote Teen Group is giving an opportunity for you to demonstrate God's love to hurting people around the world.  This outreach is made possible through Samaritan's Purse, an organization committed to reaching the world with the love of Jesus Christ (Franklin Graham is President).

How can you help?  Its easy!  Come and have fun at the Coyote Teen Group Game Night on November 9th.  The cost is $2.  The $2 that you bring will contribute to some of the special gifts below.  (You can donate as much as you want, make checks payable to Nevada Christian Home School).

Here is the list of gifts that you will contribute to.  Thank you for helping show the love of Christ to those in need!

Family Survival Kit   $45

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Psalm 46:1

When disaster strikes, emergency supplies must arrive the first few days to prevent a second wave of suffering and death.  Families who have lost everything need portable stoves and kitchen utensils to fix meals, clean water and soap to prevent diseases, and blankets and lanterns to endure long, cold nights.  In crisis situations worldwide, our teams distribute necessities like these to thousands of disaster survivors.  Your gift of $45 can help Samaritan’s Purse answer their cries for help and earn a hearing for the Gospel.

Give an Orphan a Month of Loving Care    $35

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.  James 1:27a.

In Liberia, Lebanon, India, Haiti, and other poverty-stricken nations, Samaritan’s Purse supports Christian homes that provide loving care for thousands of orphaned, abandoned, and destitute children.  Just $35-the cost of a month’s worth of meals, lodging, healthcare, and education-can help a hurting child discover the everlasting love of our heavenly Father.

Help a Child Learn to Read and Write    $15

Lord, You know the hopes of the helpless.  Surely You will hear their cries and comfort them.  Psalm 10:17

Seng Lo dreamed of becoming a teacher, but never thought she would have the chance.  Her family, poor farmers in Vietnam, couldn’t afford the school fees and supplies.  With help from Samaritan’s Purse, Seng Lo was able to stay in school and keep her dream alive.  From Southeast Asia to Africa to Latin America, our educational and literacy programs bring hope to impoverished communities and offer local believers an effective means of sharing the Gospel.  A $15 gift can provide and eager student with much-needed school supplies or a month’s tuition.

Adopt a Box for Operation Christmas Child   $7

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."  Matthew 19:14

Operation Christmas Child delivers millions and millions of shoeboxes filled with toys and gifts to the world’s poorest children.  People of all ages pack shoeboxes full of gifts, but not all can afford the donation towards the processing and shipping costs of Operation Christmas Child.  Would you help by “adopting” a box for $7?  Bless a hurting child this Christmas…and help introduce Jesus Christ…the best Christmas present ever!

Note:  Parents are welcome to attend all Coyote events. Teens must check in at each activity. Teens and their guests are expected to honor Coyote policies; and the authority of the Coyote Advisor.  Though there will be adults attending the activities, teens will be responsible for their own actions. Parents who agree to allow their teen to attend Coyote events imply that their teen is responsible enough to act in a mature manner, and can be trusted. Teens and their parents will be responsible to make restitution for any damages caused during any Coyote event. In the event of accident or injury, by allowing your teen to attend Coyote events, parents agree to hold harmless Nevada Christian Home School and their representatives, including the operator of any vehicle (if necessary) providing transportation to any event. Activity time schedule will be honored, parents are responsible to pick up their teen on the scheduled time.  Parents understand there is no guarantee that teen advisors will remain after the designated activity time.  Coyote Advisors do not supervise the coming and going of Teens, particularly those who drive themselves to any Coyote activity.  We support parental authority and we encourage parents to decide whether a Coyote event is suitable for their teen.
