Conference

Attend a Homeschool Conference.  Though the choices at a curriculum fair may confuse a first time homeschooler, it's good to go to a conference or workshop to hear the guest speakers and familiarize yourself with current curriculum choices.  Unless you have done your research first and know specifically what curriculum you are looking for, don't expect to find all your questions answered at a curriculum fair.

    a.  Nevada Christian Home School offers a homeschool workshop at the beginning of every year (late Summer or early Fall) for those who are interested in finding out more about homeschooling, or those who need help with their paperwork.  Look at the events section of our website for more details, or become a member and receive information by email.

    b.  Wherever you live in Nevada there is usually a homeschool conference near you within a reasonable driving distance.  Carpool with some friends, spend the night, make a trip out of it!

    c.  Nevada Christian Home School offers guest speakers, in person or by CD, throughout the year to encourage and equip homeschool parents.  Look at the events section of our website for more details.  Or, become a member and receive information by email.
